Fire - 911 or 699-3410 - Clarence City and Rural Fire Departments. All volunteers staff the three trucks, including rural water truck. City Fire Chief is Bill Hall; Rural Fire Chief is Vern Langhammer.
Ambulance - 911 - Salt River Ambulance District, based in Shelbyville, Missouri. Medic 3 Ambulance, an ALS ambulance, is based in Clarence and manned by EMT's and First Responders residing in Clarence. Shelby County 911 went online the first part of 2000.
Helicopter Landing Pad - A combined effort of the Clarence Fire Department, Salt River Ambulance District and several Clarence organizations. Used by Staff for Life of Columbia, Missouri , and also Blessing Hospital of Quincy, Illinois.
